Over 75 students from three area Freedom schools, Freedom Middle School, St. Peter Lutheran, and St. Nicholas Catholic Church participated in Patriot's Pen.  Patriot's Pen is a National VFW essay contest with the theme for this year: "The America I Believe In."  Members of Freedom VFW Post 7692 and the Auxiliary judged the essays and sent five forward to compete at the 8th District.  All five Freedom area winners received a $50 check from Freedom VFW Post 7692.   

 

We are proud to announce Maya Vosters from St. Peter Lutheran placed second place at the 8th District.  Maya will be formally recognized for her essay at the 8th District meeting, January 28th in Ellison Bay, WI.
